“Dedicated to improving people’s health,
comfort and well-being through their feet.

On average most people take between 2,000 and 6,000 steps a day (although we should aim for around 10,000 to lead an “active” lifestyle).

With each step taken our bodyweight is transmitted through the feet as they absorb the shock and cushion the impact. Despite this constant pressure and strain many of us still tend to neglect our feet.

To keep our feet looking their best we all need to remove any dead or dry rough skin, keep toenails clipped, moisturise regularly and avoid ill-fitting shoes.

Some feet however need a little extra care and this section covers some of the most common foot conditions, advice on what you can do to treat them and what products you may wish to try.

If you are in doubt a registered chiropodist/ podiatrist can give you more advice on how to keep your feet healthy. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

Visit the foot clinic section to identify common problems, get advice on treatment and prevention.
